Family Fun around South Africa’s North West Province

South Africa is most definitely one of the most mesmerizingly beautiful places that the world has to offer, complete with stunning landscapes filled to the brim with exciting wildlife, rich cultures and histories for the family to enjoy, as well as utopian-like beaches and national parks waiting to be explored. With a land this breathtaking, it seems almost impossible to see everything that it has to offer during a single trip. In order to narrow the vacation down slightly, we will be focusing on two of the best family friendly places that the amazing grassland area of the North West Province has to offer.

Sun City Resort and Casino

Before the start of the vacation actually arrives, one of the most exciting things that the entire family needs to decide upon, is the accommodation. This is where the glorious Sun City Resort comes in, a place that can only be described as something out of a Disney-styled fairy tale. Don’t let the luxury five-star Palace of the Lost City frighten your wallet too much though, because this resort offers a large number of different accommodation options to ensure that each and every person has a place that fits them perfectly.

The list of activities available here is monumental, with something for everyone. While the young ones keep themselves entertained between the Valley of Waves waterpark, a huge arcade gaming centre or at the educational animal parks, you can slip off to play a game of golf on the world class golf course, relax at the spa or even try your luck at the architecturally beautiful casino. With online gambling sites like pokiespalace.com.au rushing onto the scene, many people seem to have forgotten the creative splendour that is attached to real casinos, both inside and out. This casino is situated within the four-star Sun City Hotel, and is definitely a must see for all, even the non-gambling folk.

Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway

This slow cableway to the top of the picturesque Magaliesberg mountain range offers visitors mind blowing panoramic views of the large Hartbeespoort Dam and the surrounding areas, along with many other family friendly activities both at the top and bottom of the mountain. The adventurous can choose to hike back down the mountain, enjoying what nature has to offer, and for the real adrenaline junkies, why not abseil down, superman style. For the more relaxed type, laze under a tree, above the world, enjoying an already packed picnic basket. Or take a slow stroll along the 1km Dassie Loop, stopping to read the informative signs along the way.
